BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF CHRIST
Current Food Distribution with our Partners:
40 bag lunches to Berkley youth (M-F)
40 bag lunches to Suffolk youth (M-F)
$300 a week for Norview Baptist Church's food bank to sustain products such as canned goods, crackers, healthy snacks, and drinks.
Every third Wednesday of the month we provide a hot cooked meal that includes three side dishes. This feeds elderly and homeless individuals in the Five Points area of Norfolk.
Weekly, we provide food to local families located in Norfolk that have been laid off due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Many of these people are providing food and housing for up to 10 extra people. Weekly food and supplies average $190.00 per household, and we support between 2 to 6 families a week.
100 meals once a week to the Global Friendship House on the campus of Old Dominion. These meals support youth attending ODU and feed 100 students from 25 different countries.
Monthly we supply health and comfort bags, (i.e. soap, shampoo, toothpaste, dental floss, q-tips, etc.) to 40 families in Young Terrace and Berkley.
We supply financial support to fill 40 boxes of food to families that have recipes and needed supplies to get through the weekend.
We support Thanksgiving dinners at Young Terrace Recreation Center. The past two events have support 200+ each.
We host an Angel Tree for the 55 children that attend events at the Recreation Center.
