Crosswater Presbyterian Church: Summer 2025 Week 3

Week 3 of summer missions has come to a close and the Lord worked in amazing ways this past week. The Holy Spirit was at work in the student missionaries from Crosswater Presbyterian Church. Passion and zeal for God grew in the hearts and minds of the students over the course of the week. At the beginning of the week, the team was timid. By the close of the week, the team was boldly proclaiming the goodness of God.

This week's worksite project was to break down an old ramp and deck and construct a new one. The missionaries ambitiously used power tools and learned about construction equipment on the job. Students had the opportunity to grow in their knowledge and provide for a need in the Fairmont community. At the conclusion of their work, one student missionary knelt and prayed over the ramp.

For community outreach, the missionaries hosted a VBS in the Fairmont community. They played games with the kids and shared the Gospel with children in the community. One night, thunder storms caused a cancellation of VBS. A neighbor of Camp4Heroes, Kevin, opened up his home to the missionaries to visit, hear his testimony, and enjoy ice cream. Kevin's stories of how God has worked in his life impacted the students. They will carry these stories with them throughout their walk with the Lord.

The student missionaries from Crosswater Presbyterian Church made a lasting impact on our team. The Holy Spirit worked in amazing ways and performed miracles in the lives of the missionaries. God imbued the students with passion for Jesus. We are excited to see this group of missionaries continue to impact their community for the Kingdom as they head home. We are grateful that this team chose to spend their holiday week with us.
